"The Little Girl."
70Pretty 'lil Girl
Here is one of my stories I wrote one day as I was staring out my window when I was watching the snow fall from the sky..
Early Saturday morning, February 26, 2005, my daughter and I decided to go and visit our long time friends in Toledo. I have never been there and my sense of direction is not what it use to be. As I am driving I just knew we were going wrong, and I decided to stop to get directions, and grab a bite to eat. We stopped at a little restaurant called Popalinos. We grabbed a table and just started to look around. There were many pictures and one of the pictures was a painting. The painting was of a little girl and it was painted by an artist named F. Popalino.
The little girl is kneeling down in her chair at a table, like you see at a pizza restaurant. She is by herself.
The little girl is about five to six years old, and has beautiful golden, curly, shoulder length hair, with bangs that curl just above her eyebrows. Her eyebrows are a little darker than the golden color of her hair. She has a red headband bow in her hair, with the headband part behind her ears. Her bow isn’t straight, its tilted to the right side of her head.
The little girls face is perfectly round, which makes her hair style look perfect on her. She has a light to fair complexion. She has beautiful bright blue eyes, like the sky is, on a sun shinny day.
The little girl has very long eyelashes that curl upwards. The kind of eyelashes you see woman putting on when they need the added length.
The little girl has very high cheek bones, and she has a big smile on her face. She is missing two of her bottom teeth, but with the huge smile on her face, the missing teeth are not that noticeable. When she smiles there is a glistening in her eye.
The top that the little girl is wearing, is navy blue with a red collar. She has a gold necklace on, with a pendant that has the initials "K" hanging from the chain. There are red buttons on her top, and there are two buttons that are not buttoned all the way, from the bottom of her neck. The sleeves are elbow length, and the rim around her elbow length sleeve has a thin line around it, and it is red.
While kneeling on her chair, the little girl is leaning against the table holding a drink with ice and a straw, in the drink. The drink looks like it could be a soda, because all I see is fountain drinks and beer, being sold here.
The little girls arms are long and thin. She has long, thin fingers, as well, and she has red finger nail polish on.
The pants that the little girl is wearing are navy blue. On the outside of her pants, on each leg, is a red half-inch, to one inch, red stripe. Around her waist is a red belt that looks like it is tied in a knot, and is not even, with the front seam of her pants.
The belt is over more to the right side than in the middle. The extras from her knotted belt are hanging loose.
The little girl is wearing an open toe, white sandal, without any straps on her heel to keep the sandal from falling off of her foot. The sandals are like flip-flops, but the dressy kind. There is a big, what looks to be a daisy, on the strap, that covers the middle top of her foot. The daisy has white petals, and on the inside of the flower, instead of a greenish-yellow color, it is a red.
The artists father, Frank Popalino, Sr. son, Frank Popalino, Jr. 10-years-old, who was autistic and died in an automobile accident just one year ago. Frank Sr., described his son to be an intelligent, gifted child. The painting is of Frank Jr.’s little sister, who was six years old at the time Frank Jr painted her.
Hope you enjoyed this story...........
Have a wonderful day...
Thank you............................Patti
