Tall woman Clothing

 Hi everyone.

Lets talk about Tall woman's clothing, particular pants.  I am very close to 6'0 ft., thin, and find it very difficult in buying me nice flared jeans or dress slacks.

I remember not too long ago there was no such thing as "Tall" sized pants. A tall woman had to settle for "Regular" sized, and bigger waist, hoping when you washed the pants hey would shrink the waist size and not the length. But, that scenario never worked out. When washed, the length shrunk and the waist didn't shrink enough. I guess I settled for "high waters", for the right waist fit. The length of the pants were perfect, until you washed them. You couldn't even pass them off as "crop or Capri" pants. The washed pants were short, but not that short. Not only did you waste your $30 when you bought them, but now you had a pair of pants that were totally useless for anything. I have tried to cut the wasted pants into nice shorts, but the pants are made to be pants, not shorts. So the pants/shorts "rode" up the thigh and were very uncomfortable. I used to call them the "gathered" shorts. Never wore them as shorts. I would cut them up and used them for rags. They were the best $30 dollar rags I ever had.

Now days there are pants labeled Tall, but even though they say Tall on the ticket, sometimes doesn't mean they are tall sized. It is basically just a label. I have learned over the years what to look for when I am trying on Tall labeled pants, and which stores are true to their labels. I will give you a short list of my favorite stores, who are true to their labels , shortly. 

I know tall woman are not the only people that have problems buying pants. I can only tell you the difficulty of me buying pants. So, with that being said, here is my short list of stores that are true to their labels.      NY & CO (this store is the best), Christina's, Forever 21, Fashion Bug.
